• Houston improved to 4-1-2 in its last seven games with a 3-1 win over Toronto FC Sunday night at Robertson Stadium. It was Houston's first win over Toronto and ran the teams' all-time series to 1-1-1.

• Dynamo forward Brian Ching scored two goals and notched an assist to lead the way for Houston. Ching has now scored five goals in his last six games after going scoreless in 10 games to start the season. His first goal, in the 52nd minute, was his 30th career goal with the Dynamo.

• Wearing the captain's armband for the second game this year, Dynamo forward Dwayne De Rosario, from the Toronto suburb of Scarborough, Ontario, lit up his hometown team with a goal and an assist. De Rosario now has four goals in MLS play and six in all competitions this year.

• Houston defender Patrick Ianni helped set up Ching's first goal, earning his first career assist.

• Toronto FC forward Jeff Cunningham's goal in the 71st minute was the 99th goal of his MLS career, fourth all-time and third among active players.

• Canadian international goalkeeper Pat Onstad earned the win. His two saves came in dramatic fashion in the 64th minute, when he parried a long-range shot from Laurent Robert and used a foot save to deny Jarrod Smith's follow-up, keeping the score 2-0.

• With neither team scoring in the game's opening 15 minutes, the Dynamo continued their season-long trend of neither allowing nor scoring a goal in the game's opening 15 minutes.

• In MLS play, Houston improved to 3-0-2 at home on the year and 3-2-1 vs. the Eastern Conference. The Dynamo are 4-0-2 when they score first and 3-0-2 when game-time temperature is at least 80 degrees.

• The game marked the 170th game of Brian Mullan's MLS career and the 135th game of Dwayne De Rosario's MLS career. It was also the 90th career start for defender Bobby Boswell.

• The Dynamo Wives' Spring Cleanings Sale raised $15,000 for the Ronald McDonald House. The top-selling item in the silent auction was a lunch with Craig Waibel and Brian Mullan, which sold for $2,050.
