Attendance was announced as 20045. I doubt that many people showed up but there was an absentee rate of less than 10% despite a sudden transit strike being called at midnight earlier in the day.
The weather was warm and hazy with no rain during the game. On my drive in (no transit services remember) there were some raindrops on my windshield but that was it.
Man of the Match (which is always a TFC player) was Amato Guevaro for scoring both goals in this game. I was really impressed that when he scored his second goal he came running cross field to our Section 108 at about the 40 yard line to accept our cheers. Wow that was even better than when the players walked completely around the field to every section in the final game of the year. Security has kept them from walking to the south east corner at the end of both home games this year.
Greg Sutton didn't have a lot of work to earn his second shutout in a row. Except for catching a few crosses, his one crucial save was at 67 minutes when he stopped a 2 on 1 break on a dive 12 yards off his line and somehow got the rebound back to him.
