Olivier Tebily says Toronto FC fans can expect him to give everything for the club. Tebily signed Thursday after three weeks training with TFC and tells TorontoFC.ca he is proud to be a Toronto player. "After being here for three weeks I'm very happy to have signed. It's a good city and I'm pleased to be here," he said

Tebily has been impressed with the standard of the team and the game in North America. "We've got a big crowd here, good players and I think football in Canada is something that can be really huge and eventually it could be as big as it is in England and the rest of Europe."

"I'm here to bring something. I'm here to play and if I get chance to be on the pitch I will give 200 percent of myself. You can never predict that you will play every day because that is down to the coach who chooses the team. There are a lot of good players and we all have a part to play."

Tebily has been impressed with the standard of the TFC squad since arriving last month following his release from English Premier League team Birmingham City. "We have some good players here and I have enjoyed my time here so far. Everyone works very hard and we are trying to build something together. Hopefully we keep getting good results and keep winning. We played well against Real Salt Lake and hopefully we can do the same tomorrow against Kansas City," said Tebily.

The defender watched the home opener from the stands. "At the game last week the crowd was amazing. It reminded me of when I was in Celtic, so loud and everyone supporting the team. We need that all of the players need to know the crowd support them and last week it was really great for the crowd and the players and that was the most important thing."

Tebily could make his debut against Kansas City Wizards on Saturday, live on CBC. If he doesn't start the game, he may also play some part in the reserves game later in the day. Julius James is also expected to play for the reserves in his first game action since recovering from a shoulder injury.
