9 min...TC Arapovic heads away ball into TC box crosses from left and Lions Arbelo blasts this partial clearance well over net and back fence from 20 yards.
12 min…Lions Daniel Nascimento GOAL…Nascimento blasts 25 yard shot up middle that deflects off defender and pops over goalie Roy Blanche to drop into the right side of the net.
13 min...Lions goalie charges forward to pick up loose ball in box.
15 min...TC Kulis cuts in from right sideline at 55 yards and in center after diagonal run blasts 30 yard roller wide right of net.
21 min...Lions Herrera long 40 yard run but two defenders check him before he gets to take shot on edge of box.

2nd Half:...starts 3:40pm...I'm now standing on the south side so I can see the subs come into the game. Only problem is it's tough to see the scoreboard without the city trimming the tree branches which are obscuring my view. Some of the times are therefore converted from my wristwatch.

62 min...Lions Arbelo gets freekick quickly taken down left and shot hits left webbing of net from 12 yards.
63 min...Lions Mella rolls cross from right into box but defender clears.
64 min...TC defender steals ball from Lions Pagani and rushes into Lions box on left.
64 min...TC Bustamante 40 yard freekick from right is cleared for throw-in by defender.
65 min...Lions goalie stops 15 yard roller in crowd of players and starts fast break.
66 min...Lions Garcia 22 yard shot from left has flying goalie make hand save 10 yards out of net.

85 min...TC Ples injured all alone off ball near center line when he twists around. There's a dispute by TC Kulis because whistle is blown where previous injury was ignored and Lions took freekick.

90 min...Lions Shepperd 20 yard cross from left has ball just get to sliding Lions Nascimento on left post but he can't push it into net.
91 min...Lions Nascimento one touch 20 yard shot from right has goalie catch on right side of net.
92 min...TC Herrera run up middle falls as he leaps diving goalie and flips over him but ball rolls wide right of net.
93 min...game ends 4:28pm.

Attendance was about 250 on this very hot and humid afternoon with a bright sun in the west. There were plenty of young boys teams playing before the game and at halftime and that meant hundreds of parents.
After two quick goals, I expected they would continue but there was no more scoring although plenty of chances. At 37 minutes, Croatia had to sub their injured forward Tihomir Maletic with Tomislav Ples.
Lions dominated in the second half from the last 20 minutes. At 75 minutes, Lions Jeremy Shepperd on a 1 on 1 rush with a defender on the right heads a 15 yard ball but goalie Roy Blanche jumped up and got a hand to it to prevent being chipped. A minute later Lions Adolfo Mella blasted a 10 yard shot off the right goalpost after a TC defender flubbed a clearance attempt.
Right at 90 minutes, Lions Jeremy Shepperd send in a 20 yard cross from the left and the ball just bounce by the right post but a sliding Daniel Nascimento can’t push the ball in. A minute later Nascimento one touches a 20 yard shot from the right that goalie Roy Blanche caught on the right side of the net. At 92 minutes on the last chance of the game, Croatia’s Hugo Herrera ran up the middle and falls as he leaps over the diving goalie and flips over him but the ball is pushed wide right of the net on the goalie’s dive at 18 yards. Herrera rolled around injured but referee Manuel Orellano wasn’t going to call a penalty kick on the goalie playing the ball.
