The LA Galaxy Reserves suffered a 1-0 loss against the Toronto FC Reserves on Friday afternoon at The Home Depot Center. Toronto's David Guzman scored early in the first half to give the visitors their second win of the season. Although the Galaxy was able to hold Toronto to one shot on goal during the first half, that one shot proved to be detrimental as Guzman scored off a free kick in tenth minute of play. While Galaxy dominated the attack, they were unable to get anything past Toronto keeper Srdjan Djekanovic.

At the start of the second half, the Galaxy went down to ten men as Quavas Kirk came out of the game. Steve Cronin would eventually replace him in the 63rd minute, assuring that he would be able to play the entire first team game a day later if necessary. Cronin would enter the match in goal while Lance Friesz, after a quick uniform change, bolstered the LA attack playing up front alongside Matt Taylor, but only after Friesz had made a strong save off of TFC defender Alex Bengard.

Mike Caso and Taylor Canel each scored for the Galaxy after the intermission, but both players were questionably flagged for offside by the bench side assistant referee, ruling out each tally and sending the Galaxy to their third consecutive defeat.
