Status quo for TFC

Toronto FC coach Mo Johnston pledged yesterday that he's through tinkering with his roster.
Unless, of course, the team gets blown out tomorrow in Kansas City.
Johnston said after yesterday's practice the additions of striker Danny Dichio, defenders Marvelle Wynne and Kevin Goldthwaite in the past week have solidified the team.
"We finally have a team where everyone wants to be here," Johnston said. "We have a side now that is happy to be playing in Toronto."
Johnston has come under some criticism for the parade of new players that have been brought in and sent out of the roster since training camp ended earlier this month -- especially after opening the season with 2-0 and 4-0 losses -- but he said it was necessary to find the right chemistry.
"We have worked from day one at having a club that would mesh," he said. "Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment have spent a lot of money to build (BMO) and to bring an MLS team to this city, so it's up to us to get a respectable team on the pitch."
TFC's prized rookie, Maurice Edu, was encouraged at his coach's words.
"Guys are less worried about who's coming in and out," he said. "We know that this is the team we are going to have. It's important we know one another both on and off the field."
Johnston, meanwhile, said Dichio's visa problems won't allow him to play tomorrow against the Wizards, but he will play in Saturday's home opener.
Star midfielder Ronnie O'Brien practised with a knee brace and is hoping to be available on Saturday.
