CARSON, Calif. - The Chivas USA Reserves tied the Toronto FC Reserves 2-2 this morning at The Home Depot Center's University Field 1 in the opening match of Major League Soccer's 2007 Reserve Division. Chivas USA forward Matt Taylor scored two goals, including a late-game equalizer, to claim a share of the points for the Red-and-White.

Tyler Hemming scored Toronto FC's first goal in the 57th minute, tying the game at one goal apiece, while David Guzman gave the visitors a temporary lead via the penalty spot in the 70th minute. Both teams ended the second half with just 10 men the field, respectively, with Chivas USA defender Carlos Llamosa sent off in the 69th minute and Toronto FC midfielder Joey Melo seeing red just eight minutes later.

After a day off on Monday, Chivas USA resumes training Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at The Home Depot Center. On Friday, Preki's men will depart to Texas for their first road game of the 2007 regular season, against reigning MLS Cup Champion Houston Dynamo on Saturday, April 14 at 5:30 p.m. PT / 7:30 p.m. CT (TV: FSN West; HDNet; Radio: KTNQ 1020 AM Univision Radio; Web: MLSLIVE.tv).
