Toronto FC was proud to introduce their 2007 MLS SuperDraft picks to the media on Monday at the Air Canada Centre.

In attendance, Toronto FC number #1 pick Maurice Edu (Maryland), Rich Asante (Syracuse),who was drafted in the 3rd round, 27th overall, and Jeff Gonsalves (Rhode Island) drafted 4th round, 40th overall. Andrew Boyens (New Mexico) who chosen in the 1st round, 10th overall, but was not able to make it to Toronto as he is currently in his native New Zealand.

Asante, and Gonsavles, both Canadians, expressed their excitement about playing for Toronto FC. "Growing up as a little kid, I dreamt of playing professional soccer", said Gonsalves, "it's a dream come true".

"I want to thank Mo for the opportunity", said Asante, "I'm just looking forward to proving myself in camp".

Training camp runs from February 1 - 9 in Toronto, at the Ontario Soccer Centre in Vaughan. The players will then leave for Fort Lauderdale, Florida and train there from February 10 - 24.

UNDER CONTRACT
In addition Monday, Head Coach Mo Johnston announced that Forward Edson Buddle has agreed to contract terms, as per team policy details were not released. Buddle was acquired in 2006 Expansion Draft from Red Bull New York in November.

SEASON TICKET COUNT
Toronto FC season ticket sales are now over the 10,000 mark as of Monday January 15th. The club has sold over 2,600 season tickets since the announcement of David Beckham joining the LA Galaxy Thursday January 11th.
