Attendance looked like about 100 showed up on this extremely hot and humid hazy afternoon. There was rain most of the evening but that only affected the Lady Lynx game which started at 6:00pm.
This was a real tough way to lose a game on a last minute rush by the Bucks although two minutes earlier Bucks Piotr Nowak blasted a shot off the bar from 12 yards. Lynx out shot the Bucks by a two to one margin. Murphy Wiredu had the best chances for the Lynx. Kenny Uzoigwe scored his fourth goal of the season and is known in the league for coming in as a substitute. He came into this game at halftime. Referee Rob Antel gave out a few cards but it wasn’t a particularly rough game.
After the Lynx goal, their remaining chances were all from outside the box although that was the same for most of the Bucks chances. Rick Titus played a strong game on defence for the Lynx. Former Toronto FC draft pick Richard Asante seems to no longer be with the Lynx so two games is how long he stayed.
The Lynx complete their early home stand with a record of two ties and two losses. The Bucks have finished first or second in the Great Lakes Division of the PDL for every one of the last ten years. It looks like they’ll duel with Chicago Fire Premier for the title this year.
