The score held until the 79th minute when St. Catharines forward Marc Morrency beat City goalkeeper Mike Frost to make it 3-0, the score at the final whistle.

St. Catharines take over the top position with a 7-4-6 WLT record for 27 points, that’s up two points over the long-standing leader Trois-Rivieres Attak with 25 points.

St. Catharines Wolves play their next game against Portuguese Supra, a home encounter on September 5, while Trois-Rivieres Attak are idle in league competition until their home game against Canadan Lions on September 8.
