Serbian White Eagles moved into second place in the International Division with a 4-0 shutout of London City, while Toronto Croatia maintained their unbeaten record with a 1-1 tie against National Conference leaders Trois-Rivieres Attak, two games played in the CSL Friday night.

Serbian Eagles took the lead at Cove Road in London, a goal at the 17th minute by forward Dragan Radovic for a 1-0 lead at the interval. Forward Gabriel Pop increased the lead to 2-0 at the 55th minute and scored a second six minutes later to give the Toronto-based Eagles a 3-0 lead.

London’s Dumitru Ionita found the net for his team at the 70th minute, but the goal was called back for offside and 5 minutes later Sasa Viciknez scored from the penalty spot for Serbian White Eagles to make it 4-0, the final score.

Serbian Eagles improve to 6-2-1 WLT for 19 points, while London City are at 2-6-2 for 8 points.

A fast-paced attractive encounter at the Hershey Centre in Mississauga resulted in a 1-1 tie with forward Tiahoner Maletic, newly-signed from Europe, opening the scoring after just four minutes for the home side. Midfielder Ibrahim Baldeh scored a tying goal for the Attak at 41 minutes, a 1-1 tie at half-time.

Both sides had serious opportunities to go ahead in the second half, but the score held for the 1-1 tie.

Trois-Rivieres Attak improve their position at the top of the National Division with a 5-3-4 record for 19 points, while Toronto Croatia continue as the only unbeaten team in the CSL with a 4-0-6 record for 18 points.
