The response has been overwhelming! Two and a half weeks after launching Toronto FC Open TryOuts on the team's website, registration is now at capacity. The club has reached its limit of 1000 applicants before the cut-off date of November 27th. The response from Ontario has been over-whelming, but in addition, Toronto FC has also attracted applicants from around the globe. From Cruzeiro, Brazil and East Kilbride, England to Flin Flon, Manitoba - players are anxious to get a look from Head Coach Mo Johnston and his staff.

Due to the fact that there are still many inquiries coming in - a waiting list has now been established for those players that still want to try to get a spot.

To sign up for the waiting list - applicants must still go thru the registration process at torontofc.ca. They will be contacted if a place becomes available.

Open Try-Outs get underway Monday December 18th at the Ontario Soccer Center in Vaughan. The schedule will be released in the next few weeks, and that information will be available on website.

Toronto FC will be Major League Soccer's 13th team and the first outside the United States. Toronto FC will begin play next spring at BMO Field's 20,000 seat stadium at Exhibition Place.
