The Rhinos opened the scoring in the 58th minute on Rey Martinez’ first goal of the season. The midfielder, who had numerous chances in the first half, fielded a pass from Jonny Steele all alone at the top of the box, and chipped it over a charging Theo Zagar. The Lynx levelled the score late in the second half when Matt Palleschi was brought down in the box by substitute Tenywa Bonseu, and awarded a penalty by referee Ben Jones. Jamie Dodds struck the ball with authority past a diving Scott Vallow to level the score. The goal was Dodds’ fifth on the season, giving him the team lead. Neither team was able to score in the final minutes of the game and the game ended in a stalemate.
