The Rhinos opened the scoring in the 58th minute on Rey Martinez’ first goal of the season. The midfielder, who had numerous chances in the first half, fielded a pass from Jonny Steele all alone at the top of the box, and chipped it over a charging Theo Zagar. The Lynx levelled the score late in the second half when Matt Palleschi was brought down in the box by substitute Tenywa Bonseu, and awarded a penalty by referee Ben Jones. Jamie Dodds struck the ball with authority past a diving Scott Vallow to level the score. The goal was Dodds’ fifth on the season, giving him the team lead.
