Match Summary:
The Toronto Lady Lynx hosted their annual Youth Day this afternoon, playing the Lynx Youth team at Centennial Park Stadium for a special friendly match.
The Lady Lynx welcomed thousands of children and young adults from summer camps and youth groups from all over the GTA for today’s match. Today’s encounter was a highly entertaining classic battle of the sexes, and it was the gents that eventually prevailed by a score of 5-0.
Despite today’s loss, the Lady Lynx continue to look poised to reach the W-League playoffs. They currently sit in second place of the W-League’s Eastern Conference – Northern Division.
The Lady Lynx will be bolstered by the return of U-20 Canadian Women’s Internationals Amanda Chichini, Vonya Beckles and Loredana Riverso when the Lady Lynx close out there W-League regular season campaign this Sunday. The Lady Lynx host the Ottawa Fury for their final regular season match at Centennial Park Stadium at 6:00 PM.
