2006 LADY LYNX SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED
 
Wednesday, December 21, 2005 (TORONTO, ON) - After a successful inaugural season in 2005, the Toronto Lady Lynx 
playing in the Eastern Conference of the W-League will be roaring back for 2006 playing a home and away schedule 
against six franchises in the Northern Division. The Division welcomes this year, new Canadian franchises in Hamilton 
Avalanche and Laval Comets and also features teams in Rochester, Vermont, Sudbury and Ottawa. 
 
With 37 American and Canadian clubs divided into 3 conferences: Eastern Conference (North and North East Divisions); 
Central Conference (Midwest and Atlantic Divisions) and a Western Conference. The league represents the highest level 
of female soccer in North America and is becoming an awesome vehicle for showcasing some of Canada's finest talent 
in 7 Canadian cities. Five of the clubs are in Ontario underscoring the tremendous level of female play in our province: 
Toronto, Hamilton, London, Ottawa, Sudbury. Quebec makes their re-entry into the league with a club in Laval while 
Western Canada is represented by the 2004 W-League Champions, the Vancouver Whitecaps.
 
The Lady Lynx will be playing 14 regular season games in 2006 with additional exhibition matches to be announced. The 
season will begin with the home opener on Saturday May 13th at Centennial Park Stadium in Toronto when they take 
on the Rochester Ravens. The Lynx Opener will once again be a double header with Toronto Lynx of the USL First 
Division kicking off after the "Ladies", providing fans with two exciting games for the price of one. With 3 home games 
early on in May before their first away game on Saturday June 3rd to Sudbury, the Lady Lynx appear to have an 
advantageous start to the season.The Lady Lynx will once again host a School Day matinee on Wednesday May 31st 
for GTA schools when they compete against the Hamilton Avalanche.The Lady Lynx will finish the season with 3 home 
games with the last regular season match promising to be a nail biter on Sunday July 23rd when the Lady Lynx take on 
the defending Eastern Conference Champion, the Ottawa Fury, for the Fan Appreciation Day and Awards Celebrations.
 
"We anticipate continuing our successful ways next season and hope to take the team all the way!", says Chief Operating 
Officer, Nicole Hartrell. The Lady Lynx hope to be 2006 playoffs with the first round taking place on July 26th which 
will be followed by the Eastern Conference Championship July 29-30th and the North American Championships from 
August 4-6th.
