Attendance was 73 (I heard that when the owner/manager phoned it up) on this hot humid evening with gusty winds. This is the second week in a row that the Astros have beat the Stallions as last Sunday they beat them 4-1 in Brampton.
Arthur Zaslavski had to share the Astros shutout with Ray Ivanovic when he was subbed at 84 minutes. At 70 minutes, Zaslavski was hurt when defensive stalwart Kurt Ramsey headed a Stallions shot back to him but he wasn’t expecting it and the ball bounced just wide right but Zaslavski didn’t know that and he slammed his knee into the ground making a diving lunge back attempt after chasing ball down and was injured.
The gusty wind combined with the artificial turf caused bad bounces and the ball blowing out of bounds quite often.
