Attendance was about 1200 people on this cool night played on a dry field.
This was a closer game than the score indicated with the White Eagles only pulling away in the last few minutes of the game as Supra was forced to press for the tying goal. Dusan Belic earned the shutout for the White Eagles with a few important stops while Michael Silva had to be sharp for Supra to keep them in the game. More accurate shooting for the White Eagles would have put this game away much earlier.
Non goal scoring highlights included right from the first minute when SWE Sasa Viciknez 22 yard freekick from top left corner of box has SWE Mirko Medic one step ahead of getting to ball but ball deflected for cornerkick on right. Viciknez then worked out a short cornerkick from the right and the pass back to him results in his 15 yard shot from right is into outside webbing of net. At 10 minutes, SWE Milos Scepanovic ends pressure by turning after receiving pass and kicking 15 yard shot wide left; this flurry of action also had a TSP defender has arm connect to ball but referee misses call. One minute later Viciknez was given the ball on left and had a 15 yard low shot saved by foot of goalie who stayed on his feet. SWE players than had two more chances with TSP Peyvant Mossavat stopping a 10 yard shot and goalie catch pop up. At 15 minutes Scepanovic’s 12 yard shot up middle deflected for cornerkick. At 20 minutes Viciknez has midair blast from right when he crosses comes to him and goalie saves diving to left on 15 yards shot. At 27 minutes, SWE Pop 15 yard shot is low from right and goalie dives to push ball wide left. The next minute, TSP Samuel Afriyie twists and rolls 18 yard shot wide right after getting pass in the clear in middle. At 39 minutes, the TSP goalie charges back to catch SWE Pop’s header from 10 yards up the middle.

At 60 minute Viciknez given through pass on left and he chips 20 yard cross well over net. At 62 minutes, TSP Giovanni Annisi’s 25 yard cross from left has goalie palm ball wide right for cornerkick. At 66 minutes, Afriyie’s strong cross from 12 yards on left has two TSP players just one step behind tap-in inside SWE box. At 69 minutes TSP Alex Pasade cornerkick from left knocked away, TSP Afriyie gets 12 yard header caught by goalie. Two minutes later TSP Adolfo Mella crosses from 30 yards on left is partially headed by defender and TSP Michael De Luca kicks 4 yarder over net on sliding kick. At 74 minutes SWE Alex Braletic passes to SWE Pop who misses 10 yard shot in middle. One minute later the TSP’s were lucky not to have another penalty kick called against them when a SWE player was pushed from behind inside box. At 78 minutes, Viciknez cornerkick from right has SWE Mark Jankovic on right head 5 yarder that’s caught by goalie.
Just tonight the semi-final game was announced as Serbian White Eagles against Windsor Border Stars at 5:00pm on Saturday.
The Brampton Stallions vs. Italia Shooters quarterfinal postponed from Sunday will be played either Wednesday night at Victoria Park or Thursday night at The Soccer Centre in Vaughan (which would make it a Shooters home game.
