McIntosh winner

Brampton Stallions midfielder Kevin McIntosh struck a big winning goal to move his team into the runner up position in the National Division with a 2-1 victory over St. Catharines Wolves at Club Roma, St. Catharines, the only game in the Canadian Soccer League Wednesday.

McIntosh beat Wolves’ goalkeeper Caudio Perri at the 78th minute, following a 1-1 score at half-time on goals by Michael Aigbokie of Brampton at the 35th minute mark and Nemanja Djukanovic, the St. Catharines midfielder five minutes later.

Brampton’s Hugo Herrera was shown the red card at 72 minutes after receiving a second yellow card for dissent.

The win improves the Stallions to a 7-6-2 WLT record for 23 points, just two points behind leaders Oakville Blue Devils and a point in front of St. Catharines Wolves with their 6-8-4 record for 22 points in what is turning into a tight race for playoff positions.
