Match Summary:

The Toronto Lady Lynx picked up their 10th win of the season this afternoon, beating the Rochester Ravens 6-0 at a hot and humid centennial Park Stadium. 3 284 fans were on hand for the Lady Lynx' School Day.

The first 25 minutes were evenly split, with both teams exchanging chances in front of goal. Toronto broke the deadlock in the 29th minute. Holly Lincoln sent in a cross that Yukko Konno headed past Rochester goalkeeper Kitsten Hubright from 10 yards out. The last 10 minutes of the first half were mainly confined to the middle third of the field, and it was 1-0 after 45 minutes.

The second half was an entirely different affair, with Toronto scoring a total of 5 goals. Deana Everrett led the way, scoring in the 51st, 56th, 64th, and 69th minute. Janet Liguori also chipped in with a goal in the 57th minute. Rochester's best chance came late in the match when Marci Pasanello had a breakaway, but shot just wide of the goal. It was 6-0 to Toronto as full time sounded.

Deana Everett was outstanding, scoring 4 goals in the second half. Chiara Greco and Holly Lincoln picked up two assists each. Anne Ogundele shutout Rochester in the first half, while her replacement at the half, Nicole Mercer, shutout the final 45 minutes. Toronto outshot Rochester 24-7 through 90 minutes.

Today's result puts Toronto back in first place of the W-League's Eastern Conference, Northern Division. Toronto next match is away to Rochester this Saturday at 6:00 PM.

Notes: Toronto entered today's match in second place of the W-League's Eastern Conference Northern Division, while Rochester was in forth. Toronto had accumulated a record of 9-2-0. Rochester was 3-7-0. Toronto's Kim Warner, who is tied for first place in the W-League's goal standings, was not dressed for today's match. Both clubs had faced eachother once this season, with that match ending 4-1 in Toronto's favour in June.

52nd min. Goal! Heather MacDougal works the ball down the right side and crosses the ball into the area. Deana Everrett hits first time from 8 yards out and intot he goal.
58th min. Goal! Heather MacDougal sets up Everett who hits past Hubright.
59th min. Goal! Janet Liguori makes a 20 yards run and slips the ball past an oncoming Hubright.
64th min. Goal! Everett is on target again, making it 5-0 for the Lynx.
70th min. Goal! Greco sends in a through ball to Everett who runs past two markers and slots the ball past Hubright.
89th min. Rochester come close to getting one back. Marci Pasanello has a breakway but shoots just wide.
