WOLVES MUCH SUPERIOR IN 5-0 WIN OVER DURHAM
Wednesday - July 27, 2005

St. Catharines Wolves picked up their third victory of the season with an emphatic 5-0 home win against struggling Durham Storm at Club Roma, the only game in the Canadian Professional Soccer League Wednesday.

St. Catharines were off the mark quickly when Mirnes Biscevic beat Storm goalkeeper Craig Williams just two minutes after the kickoff and Stephan Kamendy made it 2-0 seven minutes later.

The always impressive 31 year-old striker Carlo Arghittu made it 3-0 for Wolves and Ashley McMillan followed up with two goals, at 75 and 82 minutes for a 5-0 final score.

The occasional threat by Durham Storm to find the net was well handled by Claudio Perri in the St. Catharines net and the result was never in doubt.

St. Catharines are now 3-6-1 WLT for 10 points and the win earns a three-way tie with Brampton Stallions and Border Stars for fourth position in the Western Conference.

Durham continue to find the going heavy with just one win in 10 games and a record of 1-8-1 for 4 points at the foot of the Eastern Conference.
