THUNDER HELD TO 2-2 TIE BY BRAMPTON STALLIONS
Thursday - July 21, 2005

Hamilton Thunder were held to a 2-2 tie by visiting Brampton Stallions at Brian Timmis Stadium in the only game played in the Canadian Professional Soccer League Thursday.

Adolfo Mella opened the scoring for the Stallions at the 14th minute mark, but the lead was short-lived when Hamilton’s Ian Bennett made it 1-1 just two minutes later.

Hamilton Thunder went ahead on a goal by Kiminori Kitazawa at 20 minutes and the lead held up until six minutes to the final whistle when Brampton forward Hugo Herrera tied the game for a 2-2 final score.

Hamilton Thunder move to the runner-up position in the Western Conference with a 4-1-4 WLT record for 16 points, while Brampton improve to 2-3-4 for 10 points in fourth position, also in the west.
