June 12, 2005

(CPSL) - Hamilton Thunder jumped to the top of the Western Conference with a 1-0 win over Border Stars in the only game played in the Canadian Professional Soccer League Saturday.

It's the third win in three starts for Hamilton and they have yet to concede a goal following earlier wins over Durham Storm (1-0) and St. Catharines Wolves (2-0).

Thunder's lone strike came from Zeljao Dukic who found the net past Border Stars' goalkeeper, Shawn Murphy at the 69th minute mark.

Hamilton goalkeeper Roberto Ferrari earned the player of the game award following his third shutout. Stars' player-coach Pat Hilton was ejected with minutes to go following a second yellow card.
