LYNX TO BATTLE CPSL CHAMPS!

Thursday, May 20, 2004 (TORONTO, ON) – Lynx fans can catch the team in action this upcoming weekend when they are hosted by the defending CPSL Champion, the Brampton Hitmen, in an exhibition match this Saturday, May 22nd at Victoria Park in Brampton with a 5:30 pm kickoff. The Hitmen are preparing for their upcoming season and are looking forward to increasing the competition for their club while the Lynx are in good form coming off a 2-1 victory over the Rochester Raging Rhinos in their home opener last weekend. Head Coach, Duncan Wilde, will use the match to prepare for the home-and-home series against the Montreal Impact next weekend when they travel to Montreal on Friday May 28th and host Montreal in Toronto on Sunday May 29th at 6:00 in their annual Girl Power Night. Wilde will also use the match to take a closer look at several reserves and “trialists”. A Brampton Hitmen/Lynx exhibition match which had been scheduled earlier in the spring had to be cancelled by the Hitmen due to the unavailability of a venue.
