OTTAWA, ONT -- The Ottawa Fury Women's Soccer team defeated their 401 rivals, the Toronto Inferno, 5-0, to improve their North Central Division leading record to a perfect 12-0-0 for 36 team points.

The Fury have now won 16 straight W-League regular and post season matches at Carleton University's Keith Harris Stadium. Toronto's record now falls to 3-9-0 for 9 team points in the North Central Division.

The Fury have two W-League regular season matches remaining. This coming Wednesday (July 21st) they travel to Lachine, Quebec to face the league's biggest surprise. The Montreal Xtreme, a first year program in the W-League, sport a 10-2-0 record for 30 team points in the North Central Division. The Fury defeated Montreal, 2-1, in Ottawa earlier in the season.

The Fury then wrap up the regular season with a home match, on Sunday, July 25th, versus the New Jersey Lady Stallions. The Lady Stallions are currently 10-2-0 for 30 team points in the Northeast Division. Match time is set for 2:00PM, at Keith Harris Stadium.

The Fury dominated the match on Sunday, scoring three first half goals and coasting to their 12th league victory of the season. The Inferno had trouble crossing midfield and mustered only two shots on Leisha Alcia, as she earned her 9th shutout and 11th victory of the W-League season.

Five different Fury players scored goals on Sunday, Rhian Wilkinson, Kelly Parker, Leah Robinson, Annie Hamel and Amy Vermeulen all scored in Sunday's victory over the Inferno. Robinson's goal was on a penalty kick at the 45th minute of the first half and Parker's was her team leading 16th of the season.

The match was played in front of 500 plus fans, giving the Fury over 1,200 fans for the two weekend matches at Carleton University. The Fury have been averaging just under 900 fans per game this season.
