Final Score:....Toronto Inferno.....1.....Ottawa Fury....2

Attendance was about 175 on this warm evening with a bright setting sun in the west causing problems for Fury defenders in the first half.

Inferno goalie Anne Ogundele looked shaky until the last ten minutes of the game when she made some good saves. She had many fumbles of crosses even while not under pressure. Fury could get into the Inferno defence too easy but there was usually a retreating defender to clear away or block a shot at the last second. Candace Chapman looked the best player on the Inferno with Kim Warner and Melanie Booth also looking good. Candace Chapman had this penalty kick nightmare in the Under 19 semi-final against Brazil. Blaskovic came in with 21 minutes to go and almost scored on her first touch of the ball.

Fury subbed in Aisha Alfa to replace Jeanette Akerlund at the 30 minute mark and that looked like a good move as the game moved on. Fury have more big players on their team and could push the smaller Inferno players aside.

This loss should knock the Inferno out of the playoffs because of their two losses to the Fury in subsequent weekends and the unbeatable Boston Renegades should be able to lock up the two playoff spots.
