Attendance was about 150 on this warm late afternoon with the threat of rain that never burst out except for a short patch in the second half. The power of the microphone was supplied by me as I loaned the PA operator one of my penlight batteries.
This was a very rough game with plenty of injuries that finished the day for a few players. Dynamites Arturo-Cisneros Salas had some of his teeth knocked out in the first half. Hugo Herrara didn't return for the second half after a sliding tackle on the sideline. Dynamites Nicholas Rotiroti was injured at 84 minutes running back to make a sliding tackle and was near the gate to the dressing rooms so he was helped off the field. Salas's injury was unfairly uncarded and really set the tone for rough stuff the rest of the game. Dynamites couldn't get a break. Even Vladimir Edouard's header into the net from 2 yards at 91 minutes was called back as offside.
Hitmen's goalie Roy Blanche earned the shutout without making many saves until the game was no longer in doubt. Robert Fran has joined the Hitmen 'on-loan' for the rest of the season from Toronto Croatia. He comes from the last-place to the first-place team in the Western Conference. The Hitmen remain undefeated at home this season. Veteran defender Milodrag Akmadazic was a late 2nd half substitute for the Hitmen returning from an injury that kept him out for weeks.
