Halftime: There's a Mascot game with comedian and DJ Kenny Robinson from The Flow 93.5 acting as the MC. Alex The CNE Beaver, Pizza Pizza Dough Boy, The Raptor from the NBA Toronto Raptors, Blizzard from National Sports (polar bear), the RCMP Safety Bear (bear in a Mountie tunic), Buddy The Lifeguard from the Royal Lifesaving Society, Zap the Lifesaver candyman, Freezie the Dragon from Kisko Foods, and The Lynxster played as a minor league game of kids teams played further downfield. The Raptor scored, then Safety Bear to tie the score at 1-1, the Lynxster then scores twice to give his team a 3-1 win. The Lynxster played without the big paws so in just running shoes he was almost human. Same story for The Raptor. It wasn't a problem with having a tail it was whether you had normal little feet deciding how easy it was to play. Some of the Ultras were calling for the Safety Bear in his Mountie uniform to officiate in the second half.

A scoreless tie after 90 minutes plus two 10 minute overtime periods. Lynx lose more valuable ground in their playoff chase. Attendance was 1050 on Mascot Night.
Lynx started with a more aggressive goalscoring lineup tonight with Aristo Knights and Steve Butcher as forwards, moving Niki Budalic back into the midfield with Nikki Vignjevic, Robbie Aristodemo, Shawn Faria, and Julio Penalillo. Knights was injured in the 7th minute when he lept to head a cross from Penalillo and bashed into the goalie and a defender. He was moved off the field for treatment but returned to the game and got the most chances in the game including a 28 minute shot that hits the bar from 10 yards. Shawn Faria had a first half injury time goal called back when Serioux's long throw-in was put in by Faria's raised arm from 2 yards out. In the second half Knights was squeezed on a 1 on 2 rush by the defenders but the ball took a deflection and he found himself in alone and he hurriedly shanked the ball wide right of the net from 15 yards.
Lynx goaltender Theo Zagar had to make a few point blank sliding saves to stop the Kickers. The defenders had to be sharp as sometimes it was the last man back who made the save on Richmond breakouts. Kickers had two close 2nd overtime chances to take all the points when David Hayes has his shot stopped by Zagar from 15 yards while on a 3 on 1 break and then in the last two minutes Josh Henderson got to the ball in the box all alone and put the ball well over net from 10 yards.
Next up is a home and home series with A-League defending champions Rochester Raging Rhinos next weekend.
