Game Summary: Goaltender and team captain Theo Zagar recorded his second
consecutive shutout tonight as the Toronto Lynx (4-7-2, 19 points) tied the Montreal Impact
(5-2-2, 23 points) 0-0 tonight in a tight, defensive battle at York University Stadium. With
the tie Toronto remains unbeaten in four games and improves to 3-0-1 since Zagar
replaced the departed Marco Reda as team captain.

The game was played at York University Stadium tonight instead of Centennial Park Stadium
due to the City of Toronto workers strike that has gripped the city. The Toronto Lynx are
anticipating making an official announcement tomorrow on the venue and times of their
remaining home games in July.

The loyal and supportive fans who came out to this evening contest despite the short notice
of the venue and time change, did not get to see many quality scoring opportunities as both
teams appeared to struggle with the tall grass at York University Stadium which at times
hampered players quickness and mobility.

With the tie Toronto moves to within four points of the Charlotte Eagles (5-7-1, 23 points)
for the sixth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

The draw also enabled Montreal to see their unbeaten streak reach seven games, tying
a franchise record. With the point the Impact are now only two points back of the Rochester
Raging Rhinos (6-3-1, 25 points) for first place in the Northeast Division.
