Today was "Fiesta Latina" at the game. A celebration of Latino music. Columbian folkdancers and then a Ricky Martin impersonator who had to put up with the poor sound system. He could hear the music on the PA but when he turned on his microphone to sing the music immediately stopped until he finished a verse, turned off the mic and the music would start again until the next verse. Good trouper to put up with this crap. Would the Lynx attack be this unorganized?
1st Half:...game starts 4:09pm...Lynx defend south end on this very hot but strong breeze from west on this hazy day...The stadium clock wasn't working and the tabletop timer was too small to read so all times are converted from my wristwatch.
0 min...Lynx Vignjevic 30 yard freekick on left is pass into Lynx fake wall standing in front of PR wall, ball is dropped back to Lynx Ashton to get 25 yard roller wide left on rushed shot.
4 min...Lynx defender clear PR Gori long throw-in from left sideline.
6 min...PR Ngon on run up middle puts pass to PR DePalma whose 15 yard shot from right is low to goalie.
9 min...PR YELLOW card...DePalma for hip check on Lynx Vincello as Vincello was waiting for ball to cross sideline for throw-in at Lynx 40 yard line.
12 min...PR YELLOW card...Chulis for tripping up Lynx Thomas crossing center line.
14 min...PR DePalma 25 yard blast from right rolls just wide right of post beyond diving goalie.
15 min...PR DePalma cornerkick from left is headed away by Lynx Vignjevic, the first man in the box.
16 min...PR player's long throw-in is headed over to PR Flavius to pop up 7 yard header that leaping goalie grabs.
19 min...PR DePalma curves 40 yard cross from right that's just ahead of charging PR Gori.
21 min...PR Tripoli freekick from left is caught by goalie.
22 min...Lynx Aristodemo 30 yard low shot from left is caught by goalie.
23 min...PR Gori gets to ball on left corner of box and he collides with goalie knocking them both over, PR Gori gets up first and takes 12 yard shot from left into the side mesh, missing the open net!
26 min...Lynx Budalic 30 yard freekick is well over net.
27 min...Lynx Vignjevic sends through ball at center line to Lynx Thomas on left wing and his 20 yard shot from left is caught by goalie.
30 min...PR Tim Sahaydak RED card...referee Zoran Kristo gives out a straight ejection to Shaydak for clipping Lynx Niki Budalic on sideline. To have to play 60 minutes shorthanded in over 30oC/93oF temperature made this the turning point of the game.
32 min...PR DePalma rushes down right wing and sends long high cross and charging PR Gori on left heads 12 yard shot just onto top mesh of net.
36 min...PR Tripoli freekick from 45 yards on left, PR Potteiger pushes off defender but can't quite turn 10 yard header and ball is just wide right.
40 min...PR Ngon 30 yard freekick blast hits bar and deflects over net.
41 min...Furious in-Lynx-box action as defenders block two PR Ngon shots on edge of box.
42 min...PR Gori 15 yard shot from left is well over net.
44 min...Lynx Vignjevic cornerkick from left is over box and Lynx Butcher crosses back from right that's blocked and cleared.
46 min...Lynx Ashton is pushed through ball on edge of PR box and his low 12 yard shot is into outside mesh on right side of net.
47 min...half ends 4:56pm.
Halftime show:...The Ricky Martin impersonator was out dancing but not singing this time and all those that laughed at him before now wished they were him dancing with his sexy sequined partners. The Kick-To-Win contestant appeared to put enough balls in the net but they have to go into the net without bouncing so he had no chance.
