Game Summary: Montreal Impact goalkeeper Greg Sutton recorded his second consecutive
shutout and Giuliano Oliviero and Eduardo Sebrango each scored for the Impact in the
second half as the Toronto Lynx (1-4-1, 5 points) dropped a 2-0 decision to their
Northeast Division rivals before 5,821 fans at Montreal’s home opener. With the win,
Montreal (2-2-0, 8 points) vaults past both Toronto and the Pittsburgh Riverhounds (1-6-2,
6 points) to sit second in the division behind the Rochester Raging Rhinos (3-1-0,
12 points).

After a scoreless first half, Oliviero opened the scoring in the second frame by connecting
off a free kick from 20 yards out to give Montreal the lead. Any hopes of a Lynx comeback
took a serious hit late in the second half as Toronto forward Irasto Knights was sent off with
a red card for a tripping an Impact player during the 81st minute of play. The Knights
ejection marked the fourth time in six games that a Lynx player has been sent off this season.
With Toronto down to ten men, Montreal iced the victory eight minutes later as Rocco Placentino
and Sebrango broke out on a two on none. Placentino faked the shot and passed the ball
over to Sebrango who one-timed the ball past a helpless Theo Zagar.

Toronto, after opening the season at 1-1-1, have now dropped three consecutive A-League
contests and face a critical test this Friday as the club travels to Pittsburgh to battle the
struggling Riverhounds.
