INFERNO AND FURY DRAW AFTER OT
(Toronto, June 3 , 2002) - The
Toronto Inferno and the Ottawa Fury each scored a second half goal on route to a
draw in W-League action this past weekend.
The visiting Inferno tallied
the equaliser through national team member Janine Willis in the 61st minute, the
Fury had opened the scoring 10 minutes earlier via a 51st minute goal from M. C.
Dion. Both teams failed to score in overtimes and settled for a league point
each.
The Inferno competes in the W-League's Northern Conference and is
the "Future of Women's Soccer." This weekend the Inferno travel south to take on
defending W-League champions, the Boston Renegades and the Springfield
Siren.
