Attendance was about 225 on this warm night. The game had been proceeded by two boys minor league games and the announcement that tee shirts would be given away at halftime for the kids in these games. As the weather was mild, many of the fans stayed right to the end (forget bedtime!). Hamilton Thunder coach Marko Maschke was at the game scouting because his team play both Supra and Shooters within the next two weeks.
Super sub (50 minutes) Paul Sinisi scored the winning goal. "The Big Show" has a physical resemblance to former Canadian international Garrett Kusch and plays with that 'get out of my way style' too when he bashes aside defenders.
Shooters goalie Peter Libicz had to work hard for the shutout with lots of diving saves and leaping catches and lucky thick goalposts. The Shooters scored both their goals in the second half while one man down.
