Halftime entertainment. The temperature was really dropping. I regretted leaving my gloves in my car but as I was forced into the overflow parking lot and it was too far away to get back in time. The teenage dancers that were supposed to go on hadn't brought their music with them. There was no working microphone to announce their problem. Another troupe who had brought their music did a kung fu demonstration. Is the only song to play 'Kung Fu Fighting'? The fireworks demonstration consisted of those bought for any father's backyard display. It was really too windy to let them off safely. I was happy they only let off three or Steve Nijjar or the other guy might have lost their hands. The only place to ground them was in a cement planter and that was right under the one column of stadium lights. I expected to see the rockets blow off one or more bulbs. How do you explain that to the Parks & Rec department?

Attendance was about 500 people for the Hitmen's home opener. The temperature fell very quickly once it was dark.
The Sun Devils looked better in this game but only brought 14 players tonight. This was a very rough game with hard tackles right from the start. Goalies Paolo Ceccarelli (Hitmen) and Henrich Svetko (Sun Devils) both played well.
Bobby Randhawa came in at the 55th minute for the Sun Devils. He should have been in at 50 minutes when Eric Ranaldo was cut in the forehead but Bobby's jersey was left back in the dressing room! Someone ran to get it. He played as a winger once he got into the game and made some good runs and passes.
