Canada Defeats Italy 3-1 In Second Game

Otttawa, Ontario - Canada's Under-19 Women's team earned their second straight win over their Italian counterparts with a 3-1 margin of victory, Sunday at Dufferin District Park in Vaughan, Ontario.

Candace Chapman scored twice and Christine Sinclair added another to give Canada two wins in two games against Italy. The two teams will face each for the third and final time in Oshawa on Tuesday.

"It was a good second half for us," said head coach Ian Bridge. "We dominated lay with the aid of the wind. It was another positive result as we created many good chances. Our defence played well but we need to improve. This is why we play these games."
