Transcript from my interview with Candace Chapman in Vaughan's Dufferin District Park after the second game of Canada's Under 19 Women's team three game series against the Italy Under 19 Women's team. She had just scored two goals in Canada's 3-1 victory.

RR--Well what we've just seen is [three] goals in a 3-1 victory for Canada over Italy and Candace Chapman scored two of those goals. How do you feel right now after doing that?

CC--Oh it feels great. Our team played very well and it's just a good step to our goal of winning the Under 19 World Cup.

RR--Right. And you have a few more exhibition games and then the tournament starts next month?

CC--August.

RR--Oh just out a bit there. And it'll be in Western Canada is that right?

CC--Yes it will be. We play Denmark, Nigeria and I think those two will be very challenging games. We've just got to keep building our team up. [Japan is the third team in their group]

RR--OK, we'll be watching for that. Now also, is there a chance you'll be on the Inferno for a few games this season?

CC--Maybe a few practises but we have a lot of camps coming up for the World Cup so I don't think I'll be able to play.

RR--I can understand that. OK. And how about you're going back to school to Notre Dame. How did you do last year?

CC--We did pretty well. We went into the 3rd round NCAAs and (now) we hope to get to the Final 4's, and win!

RR--Well that's the big deal about America. Is there something else that you're on a scholarship with them, with Notre Dame and what subjects do you take besides athletics?

CC--I'm on a full scholarship with Notre Dame and I think (I) want to go (into) marketing.

RR--OK great. Well that's my two minutes of time so thanks for talking to me. Thanks a lot.

[Actually only 1:46min].
