The game goes immediately to Penalty kicks. They flip and and decide to use the North end goal. I'd expect Bolton must have won the coin toss and decided to stay away from the more hardcore fans in the South side.

Attendance was not announced but was later listed as 19507 on this hot evening with a bright sun in the north west for the first half and a wind from the north.
Toronto FC lost the Carlsberg Cup for the third year that they've competed for it. Each year the game has gone to Penalty kicks and they've lost each one. Coach Preki didn't put much emphasis on it by sitting out many of his first string players. The roster was filled by five players from the TFC Academy of the CSL. (Matt Stinson, Doneil Henry, Nicholas Lindsay, Oscar Cordon, and Brennan McNicoll). Also from the CSL league on the roster were two players from the Serbian White Eagles defender Mirko Medic and goaltender Milos Kocic (who is a TFC player but is on loan to that team). Brantford Galaxy players Miodrag Andjelkovic and Drazen Vukovic also were part of the roster. Bas Ent is a player on the PDL Dayton Dutch Lions who were in Toronto two weeks earlier to play the PDL Toronto Lynx and played as a midfield winger.
This game was part of the season's tickets package but the ticket price was listed as almost double what a regular season game costs. Since I am a follower of the CSL league and have seen these players play many times, I was interested to see how they'd fit in. They were really close to winning this game!
The Wanderers are in their pre-season and the roster appeared to be their first team but their best players were not always on the field at the same time. Last year they finished 14th in the English Premier League and avoided relegation to play in the top division again this year.
The fans in my row didn't realize that there was a trophy at stake and someone had to win it. They were leaving at the end of regulation time then pushed their way back when they heard there'd be a shootout.
