4 min...TFC Usanov long run up right sideline but leaves ball for pass at 30 yards but PU player displaces him.
5 min...PU Moreno given arm across body turning to get to chip on edge of TFC box but play carries on as he falls.

Attendance was announced as 21,978 but the PA did not brag that was a regular season record. The new stand in the north end has ensured larger crowds will be able to see each game. A few miles away, the Toronto Blue Jays were playing baseball in front of just over 10,000 fans in their 50,000 seat stadium.

The game was played on a newly installed natural grass field. I was surprized by the sprinklers coming on so close to game time including between the halves. I wonder if it will curtail the sponsers' fan games of relay races and kicking over boxes like the stadium's first three years on the artificial turf.

The team introduced a game program that looks pretty good but I wonder how much it will be changed by the next game or just a repeat of this one. I don't blame them for not having every player listed as TFC has added a half dozen players since their initial road game last month.

I thought TFC didn't start off very well with a lot of missing passes and confusion. They certainly played better after going up a man and scoring on the subsequent play. Much of the reason is that there were many members making their debut or for many others playing less than the team's three games this season.

Dwayne DeRosario scored both goals for TFC tonight and has in fact scored all three of the team's goals this season. Coach Preki brought in his forwards O'Brian White and newly shaven-headed Chad Barrett. Barrett is still coming off a pre-season injury and is not ready to play a full game for awhild longer.
