Attendance was about 80 on this hot, humid and sunny day. When a player was injured, the players went to the sideline for a water break.

The Lady Lynx were all over the Comets in the first half with most of the play in the Comets end. For some reason goalscorer Christabel Oduro was subbed at halftime. The Lady Lynx pressure continued into the second half but the Comets had control of the second half. Just two minutes after the tying goal, Laval almost won it when Julie Casselman beat the goalie on the right side and her sharp angle shot hit the right goalpost from 12 yards and the ball rolled through the box unplayed.

Best chances that didn't go for goals were at 43 minutes when Comets Cindy Walsh took a 40 yard freekick chip down the middle that had LC Veronique Laverdiere head a 10 yarder that the goalie smothered behind her on the right post and at 45 minutes when Lady Lynx Bryanna McCarthy took a cornerkick from the right that a Lynx player hit the bar on a 7 yard shot from left and LL Lexi Marton leapt to head a 7 yarder down the midddle that was saved by a defender charging over to block the left post. McCarthy was again the best Lady Lynx player in this game for her crosses, corners and freekicks.

Lady Lynx get their third tie of the year against one win in their home games. That's really not good enough to be a playoff team because that's six points lost by not winning. There's been no games this year where they've scored more than two goals and that was their one road game in Hamilton earlier in the week. They now have three games on the road before coming home on July 4th against preannual division winners Ottawa Fury.
