Rochester, NY - This Sunday, June 13th, the Rochester Ravens will travel to Toronto for the second time this season. They will face the Toronto Lady Lynx, a team that is currently 0-0-2. The game will begin at 4:00pm and will be played at Centennial Park Stadium. Toronto is coming off of two home ties to begin the season, with one of those ties being to Rochester and the other to Quebec City.

"We are going to have to come into Toronto with the same intensity as when we played them last time," says Head Coach Mark Howlett. "It's even more important now that we come out of games with points. If we can get points in Toronto it will bode well for our upcoming games."

The Rochester Ravens narrowly escaped Toronto with a point on May 30th when Chelsea Kuss scored in the 94th minute to tie the game. Toronto is stunned and will seemingly be even more motivated to play against the Ravens again. In their second game of the season, Toronto tied Quebec City, 1-1. The Lady Lynx's Alyscha Mottershead scored in the 53rd minute, but then Quebec City’s Geneviève Marcotte tied it in the 78th minute. Toronto has outshot their two opponents, 40-35, but the goal differential is even, 2-2.

The Rochester Ravens have begun the 2010 season with a 0-3-1 record and 1 point. They currently sit at last place in their division out of six teams. Leading the way for the Ravens is Chelsea Kuss and Erica Henderson, who have each scored one goal for the Ravens this season. Brooke Barbuto and Jessica Shufelt lead the team in shots with ten each. Brooke Barbuto has recorded the only assist for the Ravens thus far.

The Ravens' losing streak continued on Wednesday against the Hamilton Avalanche, losing 2-0. The team squandered many scoring opportunities, as they were unable to capitalize and gain momentum. They shot more than the Avalanche, 23-17, but couldn't put any of those shots in the back of the net.

The Ravens' next home game is Friday, June 25th against the Laval Comets at the Aquinas Institute of Rochester. The game is at 7:00 PM and all individual tickets are $5.00. For additional information you can contact Devin DePoint at 585-352-5300 or devin@dougmillersoccer.com.
