TORONTO LADY LYNX MEDIA RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE LADY LYNX RELEASE 2010 SCHEDULE Tuesday January 26, 2010 (Toronto, ON) The Toronto Lady Lynx took the first step in their sixth W-League season today with the announcement of their 2010 schedule. The Lady Lynx will kick off play with their annual pre-season School Day tilt against the London Gryphons on May 14 at 11:00 AM at Lamport Stadium, the first of 14 games for the squad in 2010. Toronto opens regular-season Great Lakes Division play on Sunday May 30 with their annual trek to Oshawa for the popular “Celebrating Durham Women in Soccer” festivities, and a 4:00 PM match against the Rochester Ravens at Oshawa Civic Stadium. The Lady Lynx will then host matches on the following three Sundays at Centennial Park Stadium - against Quebec City (June 6 @ 2:00 PM); a return match against the Ravens (June 13 @ 4:00 PM) and Laval (June 20 @ 5:00 PM). The team will travel to Hamilton on Wednesday June 16 to open the road portion of their schedule with a 7:00 PM encounter with the Lady Avalanche. The two teams will renew hostilities at Brian Timmis stadium one week later on June 23 with another 7:00 PM kickoff. Toronto will also make stops in Ottawa (June 27), Rochester (July 2), Laval (July 9) and Quebec City (July 10) during the regular season. The Ontario Soccer Centre in Vaughan will host one Lady Lynx match in 2010, when bitter rivals the Ottawa Fury make their lone Toronto visit at 2:00 PM on July 4. The Lady Lynx will then host their annual Youth Day matinee match three days later at 11:00 AM on July 7 at Lamport Stadium with the Buffalo Flash travelling north for a friendly. Toronto wraps up their 2010 home schedule and their regular-season schedule on Saturday July 17 against the Lady Avalanche.
