League leaders Millton FC were held to a 1-1 tie by a gritty London City, York Region Shooters moved into second spot following a 4-2 victory over the Astros and TFC Academy are in third position following a 1-1 tie with Montreal Impact Academy, three games in the CSL Saturday.

Milltown FC came up against a tough London City at The Cove in London, but it was the visiting Milton-based club that took the lead at the 19th minute on a goal by Lesley St. Fleur, his 10th of the season, a 1-0 score at half-time.

London's Thomas Beattie struck the crossbar with a free kick at 65 minutes, but found the net six minutes later to tie the score 1-1.

Milltown have an impressive 11-4-7 WLT record for 40 points in their inaugural CSL season and have two games remaining in their bid for the league title before entering the playoffs for the CSL League Championship. They are expected to play the first leg of a two-game quarterfinal series during the weekend October 15. London City are in 12th position with a 3-11-8 record for 17 points and have two games remaining to complete their 2010 campaign.

York Region Shooters took the lead just two minutes after the kickoff when Kadian Leckie was tripped in the penalty box, he took the free kick and scored from the spot.

Leckie was shown the red card by referee Richard Oliveira for Violent Conduct at the 18th minute mark, to reduce the Shooters to 10 men for the rest if the game.

The game went back and forth following the early goal and the send-off, but the Shooters went ahead 2-0 just before the break on a goal by defender Alex Trujillo.

The Astros fought back early in the second half and seven minutes after the restart forward Roozbeh Houdaji struck to make it 2-1 and at 69 minutes defender Rick Titus of York Region Shooters put the ball into his own net for an own goal and a 2-2 tie.

Ryan Dummett put Shooters ahead 3-2 at 82 minutes and Darryl Gomez sealed the win for York Region when he scored from the penalty spot after being brought down in the box, a 4-2 final score.

York Region Shooters have three games remaining while in second position in the table with a 11-4-6 record for 39 points, while North York Astros will wrap up their season against FC Hamilton Croatia at Esther Shiner Stadium on October 2. With Saturday's loss, the Astros have a 5-15-3 record for 18 points and are presently in 11th position.

Striker Reda Agourram scored for Montreal Impact Academy against visiting TFC Academy and it was Impact defender Karl Quimette who put the ball into his own net for the TFC Academy goal, a 1-1 tie.

Montreal Impact Academy complete their inaugural season in the CSL with a mid-table 28 points from a 7-10-7 record, while TFC Academy are sitting in third position in the standings with one game remaining. They have a 10-5-8 record for 38 points and have secured a playoff berth.

There are two evening games in the CSL on Sunday when Brampton Lions visit Brantford Galaxy, that's at 7 and will be followed by a clash between Toronto Croatia and FC Hamilton Croatia at Centennial Stadium, that's at 8.15 pm.
