YORK REGION SHOOTERS AND TFC WIN SATURDAY .....FC Hamilton Croatia, Serbian Eagles, Milltown FC all win Friday - Aidan O'Keefe hits hat-trick

York Region Shooters extended their lead to five points at the top of the First Division following a 1-0 win over Montreal Impact Academy Saturday afternoon, while in the evening TFC Academy defeated Brantford Galaxy, 3-2. FC Hamilton Croatia, Serbian Eagles and Milltown FC all gained home victories on Friday night.

Kadian Lecky struck his sixth goal of the season for York Region Shooters at Montreal's Saputo Stadium and an important goal it was to defeat Montreal Impact Academy and give the York Region team win number six this 2010 regular season. Lecky drove the ball from 7 yards low to the right corner to beat Academy ‘keeper Maxime Crepeau at the 15 minute mark and the goal help up until the end.

Crepeau was ejected by referee Matthe Bordeux at 90 minutes when he brought down a York Region player on a breakaway well out of the Academy goalmouth. The game ended 1-0.

Allandro Matheson scored twice for TFC Academy at Lions Park in Brantford, his sixth and seventh of the season. Matt Stinson opened the scoring at 7 minutes for the Toronto team and Matheson made it 2-0 just before the interval, a 2-0 lead at half-time.

Midfielder Mark Reilly scored for the Galaxy at 52 minutes to reduce the TFC lead to 2-1, but Matheson made it 3-1 at the 74th minute mark.

With two minutes remaining, forward Marsalis Beckford scored for Brantford, a 3-2 final.

Aidan O'Keefe led his team to the 6-1 defeat of St. Catharines Wolves with a hat-trick, he opened the scoring for Hamilton Croatia at Brian Timmis Stadium Friday night, scoring at the 21st minute and struck a second two minutes later for a 2-0 score at half-time.

Said Ali increased the Hamilton lead to 3-0 at 46 minutes and O'Keefe completed the hat-trick at the 49th minute mark, his 6th goal of the season.

Forward Jason Shannon made it 5-0 for the home side at 56 minutes and at 77 minutes Danny Gallagher reduced the lead to 5-1 when he scored for St. Catharines. Jamie Dodds completed the scoring with a goal for Hamilton Croatia at 77 minutes, a 6-1 final score that improves Hamilton to 3-1-4 WLT for 13 points.

St. Catharines Wolves were down to 10 men most of the second half following the ejection of Matthew Stillman.

Serbian White Eagles scored three first half goals for a commanding 3-0 lead at the interval against London City at Centennial Stadium in Etobicoke on Friday. Milos Scepanovic opened the scoring at 2 minutes from a play started by Alex Braletic on the left wing and a London City own goal by Cody Workman made it 2-0 at 21 minutes. Scepanovic made it 3-0 at 27 minutes and the score remained until 92 minutes when Sasa Viciknez struck an outstanding goal from 12 yards for a 4-0 final score.

It was the third win of the season for last year's championship finalist, they are at 3-1-1 for 10 points.

In the third game on Friday night, Erik Olazabal opened the scoring for Milltown FC at the 14th minute mark, scoring against Portugal FC for a 1-0 score at the interval. Agustin De Medina made it 2-0 at 49 minutes and Gersi Xhuti made it 3-0 at 66 minutes.

Portugal's Massimo Mirabelli scored twice in just three minutes to bring his side back into the game. He beat Milltown goalkeeper Scott Cliff at 75 and 77 minutes, but the home side went further ahead 4-2 at 88 minutes on a goal by Ranginho Hussein. Marko Bedenikovic struck Portugal's third goal at 92 minutes for a 4-3 final score.

Milltown FC improve to a 3-2-3 record for 12 points, they visit Esther Shiner Stadium on Sunday for a game with the Astros. It's one of three in the CSL that day.
