PORTUGAL FC, SERBIAN WHITE EAGLES WIN FRIDAY......Milltown FC and London City play to a 2-2 tie

Portugal FC blanked Brampton Lions 2-0, Serbian White Eagles defeated Montreal Impact Academy 3-2 and London City fought back to tie Milltown FC 2-2. three games in the Canadian Soccer League Friday night.

Portugal FC won their third game of the season in shutting out lowly Brampton Lions at Lamport Stadium in Toronto. The home side opened the scoring when Luca Forno found the net past Brampton goalkeeper Roy Blanche at the 9 minute mark and the 1-0 lead held until the 89th minute mark when Ramon Bailey struck a penalty kick for a 2-0 final score.

Home side Milltown FC went ahead against London City with a goal by Martijn Kuijpers at the 23rd minute mark, but London's Tom Beattie drove a spectacular 20 yard free kick in the top corner of the net at 36 minutes. Milltown pressed for the remainder of the first half but several key saves by City goalkeeper Scott Mueller kept the score at 1-1 at the interval.

Tristan Scott put Milltown ahead at 53 minutes, but was ejected eight minutes later after being shown a second yellow card.

A hand ball inside the box gave London City a chance to tie the game and Annesse Brouk drove the ball in for the tying goal and a 2-2 final score.

Forward Guillaume Heroux of Montreal Impact Academy opened the scoring at the 9th minute against Serbian White Eagles, a game played at Centennial Stadium in Etobicoke and Shawn Brown tied the score 1-1 three minutes later for home side.

Milos Scepanovic, then Kirie Dimitrov at 77 minutes scored for Serbian Eagles and Dimitrov picked up a second yellow card and was ejected.

The Academy's Armel Dagrou scored from the penalty spot at 83 minutes following a hand ball in the box for a 3-2 final score.

There are four games slated for the CSL on Sunday.
