A year ago the Lynx lost two on the road to start the season and then went on a ten game rip that basically earned them a play-off spot as they went into a late season swoon.

This year they're 0-3 playing on the road and can only hope that returning home for a couple of days rest will put them on the winning track as they hit the road once again next weekend for games in Charleston and Atlanta. An 0-5 hole would be awfully difficult to dig out from.

The latest setback came via the shootout as a late goal from midfielder Elvis Thomas gave them a 1-1 regulation time tie with the Connecticut Wolves. But overtime settled nothing and it was on to the shootout which the Wolves took on their sixth attempt.

Goalkeeper Hubert Busby Jr. was the Lynx hero of the day making at least 10 outstanding saves while giving up a solitary goal in the 65th minute.

Lynx coach Peter Pinizzotto was hoping things would finally click for the Lynx in this game.

"A combination of players coming of the indoor season and players getting their first starts demonstrated that we need more time to work together to execute as a team. We need more time to gel."

Lynx President and General Manager Enzo Iantorno was pleased with his team's effort against the Wolves.

"We put in a strong effort and played hard tonight, more like a team. With our chances, we should have won the game in the first twenty minutes, we just didn't get the bounces."

Up next the Lynx will be in Charleston on the 15th and Atlanta to face the Ruckus on the 17th.
