Lynx win battle of the felines in Daytona

On a warm humid night in Daytona, Florida the Toronto Lynx , Canada's newest entry into professional soccer scored a 4-1 win over the Daytona Tigers of the USISL's D3 Pro League.

The Lynx dominated the game with three goals being scored in the first 28 minutes. Dwayne De Rosario put the Lynx on the score sheet at the 20th minute ; Elvis Thomas added a second goal five minutes later and Paul Moore closed out the first half scoring.

The second half was filled with chippy play instigated by the Tigers resulting in Danley Johnson leaving the game with a severe ankle sprain. The severity of the injury is not known and Johnson will be examined by team medical staff. Czeslan Zajac scored the Lynx final goal in the 75th minute.

On Wednesday April 9 the Lynx travel to Orlando to face their A-League counterparts the Orlando Sun Dogs to close out their pre season campaign. _______________________________________________
