50 min...Lynx YELLOW card...Doliscat for criticizing referee's assistant, shouting "Don't change your mind!" for previously wavering on an offside flag. The assistant for this tirade held his flag straight up like he was signalling 'help me' to the referee.
53 min...Lynx Barker sidesteps Vipers Namazi and 20 yard shot wide left of goal.
55 min...Lynx Ashton heads out freekick cross into Lynx box then in Vipers end rolls 30 yard kick to goalie.
57 min...Vipers Tschantret rush on right, ball bounces off defender and Vipers Wilson chips 15 yarder over net with defenders and goalie well up near edge of box. The net is ripped and needs repairs.
60 min...Vipers Namazi 45 yard freekick, Vipers Titus header from 15 yards on left caught by goalie.

The Lynx players unveil a big 'Thank You Fans' banner.
Lynx desparately hung on after being two men down in the second half as Vipers couldn't hit the back of the net.
Referee Steve Dipierro was the star of the game. He refereed the Lynx--Rhinos game last week where he red carded Marco Reda at 52 minutes. The Vipers didn't like him nor the west side linesmen neither. Doliscat's yellow card was from argueing with the west side linesman too.
Vipers have a local connection. Ex Lynx players Rick Titus and Martin Dugas both played in the CNSL; Toronto born goaltender Peter Pappas; Guilano Oliviero who I was told played for Vancouver 86ers.
Vipers are the 2nd place team in the conference and needed this and a win against Rochester to capture 1st.
Attendance was announced as 4544 and that overall there was a 40% increase from 1998!! (Of course now they will have to convince the crowds to follow them to a different stadium not yet decided on for next year).
