Attendance wasn't announced tonight but it was 2271 (from the USISL site). The press release boasts that Lynx attendance has vaulted to 9th in attendance in the 30 team league. It is estimated as 40% higher than the 1998 season.
Rough Riders had a 17-9 record (3rd place) before this game and were safely in the playoffs. Lynx were 10-16 until tonight (7th place).
The Lynx goalie was Theo Zagar who earned the shutout but worked hard to get it. The backup was Jim Larkin who should be backup for the Canada--Jamaica international friendly tomorrow.
Rough Riders goalie was Manuel Carou who has played in every minute of every game this season. This was not their second string team because they had a lot to play for to get a better Playoff spot.
