Result of the A-League game played Sunday August 1st/99 at 7:00pm between Toronto Lynx and Atlanta Silverbacks.
54 min...Lynx GOAL Leonel Bolsonello...Bolsonello pass to Lloyd Barker after ball bounced over head of AS defender Erik Stadler. Barker passes back to Bolsonello who from 12 yards blasts under center of bar as he had enough time to freeze goalie Bo Oshoniyi.
55 min...Lynx GOAL Kevin Holness...AS Erik Stadler pulls down Lloyd Barker just inside the box but play carries on and with Oshoniyi crawling to loose ball, Holness races over him and another sliding player for chip shot from 7 yards.
87 min...AS GOAL Ignace Moleka...Moleka has 5 yard tap in after AS Marvin Raeburn has good dribbling run along left side before short cross into box.
Final Score....Toronto Lynx.....2.....Atlanta Silverbacks......1
Attendance was announced as 2590 on this holiday weekend. It was Scouts Day but I didn't see uniformed kids in attendance. A scout was able to set up a 2 person tent in 6 minutes during a halftime demonstration.
The Lynx win two this weekend with a win over another team they have to pass in the standings. They remain in 11th in the Eastern Conference but close the gap to a bring the 8th place within striking distance.
Atlanta wears a red uniform with white numbers and trim. Their team logo is an angry looking gorilla!
