Result of the A-League game between Toronto Lynx vs Boston Bulldogs at Varsity Stadium at 7:30pm Friday July 30/99.
35 min...Lynx Plato Krivochtchekov picks up his 2nd yellow card for 'leaving' the field without permission. How many times have we seen a player go to the bench to get water before a freekick or throw-in or for a different pair of shoes? I still don't understand this called but 4th official Frank Marciello tipped off referee Zoran Kristo and he gave him the card.
88 min...Lynx GOAL Dos Santos...Dos Santos on 7 yard header from in front of net bounces ball to right side of net after cross into box from substitute Joe Mattacchione on left side.

Attendance was announced as 2424 on Carib Fest night. We had pan drummer Winston Frederick play during the game which gave a different atmosphere than the usual jock rock.
Lynx had most of the scoring chances with three 'goals' called back as offside and Bulldogs goalie having to make two breakaway saves. Bulldogs shanked too many kicks over the bar or wide.
Toronto stays in 11 th in the Eastern Conference standings and get a chance on Sunday against Atlanta Silverbacks as another team they must pass to get to the playoffs.
