In a pregame ceremony, Canada's Men's National team coach Holger Osieck is given a Lynx jersey. The American anthem was canned but the Canadian anthem was played by the Royal Canadian Air Cadets band. This band and marchers also entertained at halftime on today, Canada Day.

Lynx could have put this one away in the first half and likely would have earned the bonus point for three goals. They got off to an impressive start and scored a minute earlier than in the Lehigh Valley game on a team that had almost the same colour uniforms as Lehigh Valley. That's now two teams that have the champions Rochester team colours.
The club decided to play jock rock music for long passages of the game whereas up to now they only played short snippets whenever there was a stoppage in play. It was quite distracting for this viewer. I hear 'YMCA' and expected both teams to suddenly start waving their arms! Hmm I'll suggest if they must they could use that 'jungle drum background music' like in Toronto Rockets days of 1994. It actually made the crowd seem huge as it was like the Brazilian world cup drums beating.
Attendance was announced as 2012 (although it looked like 800).
Lynx climb to a 4-9 record.
Milwaukee has a few players that have been in the Toronto soccer scene over the years. goalie Carmine Isacco (on the bench tonight), defender Dino Lopez, midfielder Omar Dalombo, and head coach Carlos Cordoba who was with the early Toronto Blizzard.
